DRTV media firm Gotham Direct has opened an office in London, agency president Greg Messerle said July 20. The four-person office will help the agency expose US clients to European markets and attract European clients that want more exposure in the US, he said. The agency is also planning to open a Shanghai office next summer.

In a major restructuring, Office Depot named Bob Moore its EVP and CMO and appointed Kevin Peters president of North America, a new position. The retailer also combined its North American retail and business solutions divisions and split the role of EVP of e-commerce and direct marketing into two roles.

The San Francisco-based provider of CRM technology unveiled preliminary plans for its new global headquarters on June 6. Reports around the web paint a picture of a post-apocalyptic wasteland crossed with a Stalin-era office building.
Office Depot has named Neil Austrian its permanent chairman and CEO, the company said May 25. He had served as the Boca Raton, Fla.-based office supply retailer's interim leader since November 1, 2010. Austrian will replace Steven Odland, who resigned last October after more than five years with the company.
OfficeMax launched a location-based rewards program this week that allows consumers to receive a $10 virtual savings card for "checking in" at any retail location using Facebook Places. The goal of the program, designed by OfficeMax's social media AOR Tribal DDB New York, is to increase consumer participation in the company's ink recycling and refilling program.
