Oakdale Engineering, Oakdale, PA, announced the availability of DataFit 6.0, which performs nonlinear regression and statistical analysis.The software is designed to determine whether a relationship exists between two or more variables, describe the nature of the relationship in the form of a mathematical equation and assess the degree of accuracy of prediction achieved by the equation.
The latest version of DataFit contains more than 350 predefined regression equations, which are commonly used in statistical and engineering applications. Users also can define their own regression equations, which can contain up to 100 fitting parameters. Results from the software include customizable presentation quality plots of the sampled data, regression equations, residuals and residual probability.
