Nourison Wires Retailers for Retention

Share this article:
Nourison Rug Corp., an Oriental rug manufacturer, is connecting its retailers to the Internet in an effort to help them retain customers.

Retailers can visit Nourison Rug Corp. to choose templates for their Web sites that include opt-in e-mail, secure online ordering, payment processing, shipping and tax configuration. The templates also include optional shipping and fulfillment features that can be handled by Nourison.

Retailers can then download product lines from Nourison.com's online catalog, which features 45 rug collections and over 3,000 different rugs.

Retailers who carry 10 percent of Nourison's line can offer the full rug line on their Web sites. Pricing information, which is updated by Nourison, is included as part of the catalog.

Nourison produces rugs in China, India and Pakistan and transports them to over 1,200 U.S. retailers, from regional and local rug dealers, to larger stores such as Macy's and Home Depot.
