No-Call List Available Sept. 1
The Federal Trade Commission will make the national no-call list available to telemarketers starting Sept. 1.Commercial telemarketers must begin using it by Oct. 1. Fees are $25 per area code up to a maximum of $7,375 for all area codes. The first five area codes are free.
For more information, go to donotcall.gov and click on "More Information" and "Information for Businesses." More than 32 million phone numbers are registered for the list.
