The National Mail Order Association, Minneapolis, recently introduced a CD-ROM called "Mail Order Europe 1999" that details the mail-order marketplace in Europe.

Created with the European Mail Order Trade Association, the CD-ROM features information on more than 3,250 of the top European mail-order catalogs in 25 countries, representing over 80 percent of the mail-order and catalog sales in Europe. It also includes information on the 378 largest European catalog commerce Web sites.

Company profiles include company addresses, phone and fax numbers, and corporate contacts, as well as sales volumes and e-mail addresses.

"Mail-order is going to explode in Europe over the next few years," said John Schulte, chairman of the NMOA, which represents small to mid-size businesses and entrepreneurs involved in mail-order marketing. "The introduction of the Euro eliminates the last major stumbling block for marketing to Europe as a whole. This is a perfect time to learn about and take advantage of all the mail-order opportunities Europe has to offer."

The product, which costs $595, can be purchased through the NMOA. A free demo can be downloaded at www.nmoa.org.
