Nike Picks Lumina for Hispanic, Latin American Markets

Athletic footwear and apparel maker Nike Inc. has named Lumina Americas Inc., New York, its regional interactive agency of record for the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets.


The agency will handle online strategy, creative and media buying and planning for the Latin American region. The account was awarded in a runoff with an undisclosed number of agencies.


With this appointment, Nike looks to further penetrate the Latin American market.


Founded in 1999, Lumina specializes in marketing communications to the domestic Hispanic market as well as Latin America. Clients include JP Morgan Chase & Co., the U.S. Air Force, Neiman Marcus and Kraft Foods.
