NewWorld Licenses Software to Enhance E-Mail Campaigns

SEATTLE -- NewWorld Commerce, a provider of e-marketing campaign software, said yesterday that it would license software from Vendaria to video-enable its online marketing platform.

The video software allows NewWorld to offer its customers the ability to add rich media to its Web site and e-mail marketing campaigns.

NewWorld, Kirkland, WA, which creates target filters and customer profiles, intends to personalize different aspects of the campaigns, including the subject line, the salutation and voice messages.

"The video capabilities will allow companies to collect information and interact in a way that the customer wants to receive it," said Shelly Larson, vice president of strategic business alliance at New World.

Meanwhile, Vendaria, Seattle, will host the videos, which can be viewed by users with modem speeds of 36K and above. The software, Vendaria Enliven, will be included in NewWorld's HTML or text formats.

"We have the technology infrastructure to make videos available for many different marketing initiatives," said Scott Ferris, CEO of Vendaria. "Because e-marketing is becoming more prolific, it is necessary to create unique campaigns."
