United Way deploys CRM system across volunteer groups

United Way of America has enlisted Bluewolf to help integrate its database with a CRM system. The nonprofit group will deploy the Bluewolf Integrator to integrate Salesforce.com's CRM program with its in-house Microsoft SQL server database. United Way's database logs registrations, donations and volunteer work. With a CRM system in place, local chapters now have a standardized way to track potential donors and opportunities, and maintain contacts and accounts.
 

GE Money says 650,000 consumers' data compromised

Credit card operations service GE Money said the personal and contact information for about 650,000 customers of up to 230 of its retail partners, including JCPenney, could be compromised due to a missing computer tape.
