UPS, DHL end talks

April 17, 2009

Negotiations for a service contract between shippers DHL and UPS have ended, UPS said today. The two companies had been nego­tiating an agreement under which UPS would provide air transport services for DHL's North Ameri­can business for 10 years. Two independent airlines currently provide those services.

Athleta joins Gap online platform

Gap Inc. has added Athleta to its online platform, where consumers can shop all of the company's brands with one shopping cart a flat shipping rate of $7. Athleta offers functional, high-quality women's apparel for a variety of sports, including running, skiing, snowboarding, surfing and yoga. Gap acquired the brand, which is still available via catalog, in September.
