Honda calls consumers to compare the value

Honda is calling on consumers to do their own research in a new multichannel campaign called "True Cost to Own a Honda." The campaign, which was developed for Honda by its agency of record RPA, encourages consumers to compare Honda cars to the competition and calculate the long-term costs of vehicle ownership versus the price tag of a vehicle. The campaign is being pushed through online, TV and radio.

MMR, United Marketing Group to offer online health records via affinity programs

MMR Information Systems Inc. and United Marketing Group have signed a three-year agreement to offer Web-based personal health record services via affinity programs and membership-based services. MMR, through its wholly owned subsidiary MyMedicalRecords Inc., provides Web-based consumer-controlled Personal Health Records (PHR) and electronic safe deposit box storage solutions. United Marketing Group is a direct marketer of affinity membership programs and merchandise products that has relationships with numerous Fortune 500 partners.
 

Regis Salons releases custom magazine

Regis Salons has tapped Story Worldwide to custom publish a new quarterly magazine, The Hair Book. Starting Monday, April 6, 300,000 copies of The Hair Book will be distributed exclusively at Regis Salons' 1,100 North American locations. The magazine will be supplemented by a Web site, TheHairBookOnline.com, which also is slated to launch Monday. Regis Salons' core customers are fashion- and trend-conscious women.

While much of the printing industry anticipates the introduction of high-speed inkjet presses from Kodak, HP and other manufacturers later this year or next, last fall commercial printer RR Donnelley & Sons installed the first high-speed inkjet press devel­oped at the company's own R&D center. "Where technology exists in the marketplace and it is available, we'll buy," said Mary Lee Sch­neider, chief technology officer at Chicago-based RR Donnelley.
 

Mobile firms agree on marketing guidelines

In a move to build industry stan­dards, the four largest US wire­less service providers last week all agreed to incorporate their mobile marketing guidelines with the Mobile Marketing Association's (MMA) best practices.
