The Bebo "Social Inbox" is a one-stop shop that combines e-mail, social networking and media recommendations into one interface.
 

Google adds magazines to Book Search

Google will provide access to current titles as well as archives in a partnership with publishers to begin digitizing millions of articles from magazines ranging from Popular Mechanics to Ebony.
 

Transcontinental reports 94.2M Q4 income loss

December 11, 2008

In the fourth quarter of 2008, printer Transcontinental's consolidated revenues rose 6% for a total of $653 million. Net income decreased from $38.6 million to a loss of $94.2 million. On a per-share basis, it dropped from earnings of 46 cents to a loss of $1.17. Transcontinental reported consolidated revenues rose 4% for the 12-month period ended October 31 for a total of $2.43 billion. Net income declined from $120.6 million in 2007 to $7.9 million in 2008.
 

Macy's sees payoff from cross-channel integration

Macy's Inc. is piloting a program enabling in-store shoppers in Florida to place electronic orders from any point-of-sale register as it continues to try to foster integration between the company's stores and Internet sites.
