HP executives focused on how the company will capitalize on what they called the transformation of print from analog to digital, and announced key partnerships with brands such as MTV, MySpace and others to help achieve HP's goals, at the company's annual Imaging & Printing Conference in San Diego.
 

Facebook integrates Live Search

October 08, 2008

Facebook has integrated Microsoft's Live Search into its user interface. US Facebook users now have the option to search Facebook or the Web using Microsoft's offering, in the toolbar at the top of Facebook pages, without leaving the site.
 

FedEx expands service in Mexico

October 08, 2008

FedEx Express announced this week the start of operations for FedEx Express Nacional, a domestic overnight service in Mexico. The service covers all 32 Mexican states with the support of two new centers of operation: one in Toluca, which is currently open; and another in San Luis Potosi, which will open in early 2009.
 

Virgin America loyalty program takes off

October 08, 2008

Virgin America airline has teamed with Loyalty Lab to start offering rewards through its Elevate frequent fliers program. Fliers have been able to collect points — based on dollars spent, not miles traveled — with the airline since its launch in August 2007 and, as of six months ago, they are able to view their point balances online. Points redemption online started this month.
 

Men's Vogue adds section, ups rate base

October 08, 2008

Men's Vogue has added a new editorial section and will increase its rate base to 400,000 as it asserts itself in the men's magazine market. The young sibling publication of Condé Nast's Vogue launched as a test issue with 150,000 copies in 2005, followed by an official April 2006 launch at a rate base of 300,000.
 

Clash-Media launches new lead generation service

October 08, 2008

Clash-Media, a performance-based digital marketing company, has launched the "Path Partnering" service to improve its clients' lead generation. This service will connect advertisers with publishers based on the relevance of the Web site's traffic.
 

MeritDirect has introduced the Day-Timer Women list to the market.

These are women who purchased organizational products for business, home, or school from Dat-Timers catalogs, stores or wholesalers. They are, on average, age 48-59 with an average annual income of $75,000 to $100,000 and 79% are married.
