Gannett will cut jobs in response to Q2 earnings drop

Gannett Co., the publisher of USA Today and 85 other daily newspapers, will eliminate 1,000 jobs by the end of the month. About 3% of the company's workforce will be affected by the cutbacks, but the company said no jobs at its flagship title, USA Today, will be eliminated.
 

USPS publishes new IMB standards in Federal Register

Yahoo has appointed Frank Biondi and John Chapple to its board of directors. Biondi and Chapple are filling two new seats formed last month when, in order to avoid a proxy fight, Yahoo agreed to appoint activist investor Carl Icahn and two new members to its board.
