Time Inc. will launch Maghound.com — a membership-based magazine purchasing site — in September. Maghound users pay a monthly members' fee, depending on the number of titles they would like to receive. The program currently has 280 titles from a variety of publishers, and members can order different titles every month.

Hallmark Magazine is adding 100,000 subscriptions to its rate base — for a total of 800,000 — for its February/March 2009 issue. The increase, which doubles the magazine's rate base at its launch in 2006, has been attributed to multiple cross-sell opportunities within the Hallmark company.
Relish, a food magazine distributed as a newspaper insert, has signed a book deal and is increasing its rate base in 2009. Thanks to a rise in the number of its newspaper partners, Relish is moving its rate base from 12 million to 15 million, beginning in January.
Condé Nast has expanded its contract with Acxiom to include digital and integrated marketing. The publisher of Vogue, Cookie, Wired and other titles has deployed Acxiom's services for its traditional direct marketing efforts — such as direct mail — for more than 10 years.
