With the goal of better integrating the digital capabilities of its agencies, Publicis Groupe has launched a new entity, VivaKi. According to Publicis, the launch of VivaKi reflects the company's "conviction that a totally new and more integrated organization of the media, interactive, analog and digital universes is necessary in order to leverage scale and technological innovation."
 

PRC seeks comment on updated USPS service performance measurement plan

The Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) is seeking public comment on the most recent draft of the US Postal Service's proposed service performance measurement plan. The plan was published in the Federal Register today.
 

Visa, Facebook team up for b-to-b network

Visa Inc. has launched a b-to-b network on Facebook to help connect small businesses. "Working with Facebook, Visa is breaking new ground by harnessing social networking to connect business owners," said Antonio Lucio, CMO at Visa Inc., in a statement. "We are putting the power of the network in the users' hands, and it will be fascinating to see how the community evolves."

Relish, a food magazine distributed as a newspaper insert, has signed a book deal and is increasing its rate base in 2009. Thanks to a rise in the number of its newspaper partners, Relish is moving its rate base from 12 million to 15 million, beginning in January.

Hallmark boosts rate base, warms hearts

Hallmark Magazine is adding 100,000 subscriptions to its rate base — for a total of 800,000 — for its February/March 2009 issue. The increase, which doubles the magazine's rate base at its launch in 2006, has been attributed to multiple cross-sell opportunities within the Hallmark company.
