Zero Abandonment Rate Proposed in California
A law enacted in the state last year instructed the commission to propose an acceptable abandonment rate for dialers, which sometimes cause consumers to receive hang-up or "dead-air" calls when the consumer answers before a telephone agent is available.
Industry representatives say a zero abandonment rate would eliminate any efficiencies gained from using predictive dialers.
