Andy Ostroy, chairman/CEO of list services firm Belardi/Ostroy ALC LLC, has launched a nonprofit organization called The Adrienne Shelly Foundation in memory of his late wife, Adrienne Levine.

The foundation plans to open a Women's Filmmaking Scholarship Fund, awarding females film school scholarships and helping women move from acting to directing movies.

Individuals and marketers wishing to contribute to the nonprofit may write checks for The Adrienne Shelly Foundation and mail to Belardi/Ostroy ALC LLC, 16 West 22nd Street, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10010. Please post-date checks to Dec. 15 until the legal status of the foundation is final.

Mr. Ostroy's wife was better known by her stage name, Adrienne Shelly. She was killed Nov. 1 in her West Village office in New York, leaving behind husband and a three-year-old daughter, Sophie.

Ms. Shelly acted in director Hal Hartley's "The Unbelievable Truth" and "Trust." She appeared most recently as Jerry in "Factotum," a movie with Matt Dillon. All told, she appeared in more than 20 films.

In addition to acting, Ms. Shelly also wrote and directed "Sudden Manhattan," "I'll Take You There" and the soon-to-be released "Waitress."
