Web publisher and list owner Corp., San Francisco, Monday debuted a site that will be a dictionary for the growing number of symbols and slang, or "emoticons," that Internet viewers use to lessen time spent on e-mail.

According to the company, emoticons are short sequences of letters and symbols used to express a thought or emotion. also will offer its viewers a learning guide to the Web lingo.
