Walmart President and CEO Bill Simon and JCPenney CEO Myron "Mike" Ullman have been elected to the board of directors of the National Retail Federation, the trade association announced yesterday on the opening day of its annual convention in New York.

Joining Simon and Ullman as new inductees of the NRF board this year are Tractor Supply President and CEO Greg Sandfort, Beall's CEO Steve Knopik, SAP Global Retail business unit chief and SVP Lori Mitchell-Keller, and Utah Retail Merchants Association President Dave Davis.

“These executives are among the top thought leaders in the world of retail," said NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay. “Their knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we address the many issues facing retailers at a time when our industry is rapidly changing.”
