UserVoice, a provider of customer engagement tools for web and mobile applications, was announced today as the winner of the CRM Idol competition, an annual runoff of promising marketing tech start-ups awarded by leading companies and luminaries of the CRM world.

UserVoice is embedded in apps, websites, and social media sites to provide clients with customer feedback, knowledge management, and satisfaction ratings. Microsoft, Zynga, and HipChat are among the company's clients.

Other companies among the five finalists, which were paired with CMR experts who mentored the companies in devising business videos and presentations, were BlueCamroo, Cirruspath, Mindtouch, and Next Principles.

“We had five extraordinary finalists,” said CRM pioneer Paul Greenberg, founder of CRM Idol. “Based on their offerings, leadership, and value in the marketplace, they are all worthy of being on any shortlist for technology choice.”

UserVoice will receive several prizes including technology services, publicity partnerships, and consultation with CRM influencers such as Brent Leary and Denis Pombriant, investment groups including Bain Capital, and technology leaders like Marketo and Infusionsoft.
