Teradata announced two product and service enhancements at its Marketing Summit in Los Angeles today:
- The global availability of Marketing Studio 9, part of the Teradata Integrated Marketing Cloud, that connects a company's marketing campaigns with its internal operations and marketing spend activity and aims to enable better, faster decisions through a data-driven approach to all marketing efforts. New user enhancements made to the product allow marketers to manage campaigns, spending, and internal operations all through one global view.
- A strategic partnership with Urban Airship to deliver the mobile and location-based marketing capabilities of the Teradata Integrated Marketing Cloud. Teradata looks for Urban Airship's segmentation tools and real-time automation capabilities to reach more precise audience segments through push notifications and in-app messages.
In her keynote presentation today, Teradata Marketing Applications CMO Lisa Arthur said that marketers face the challenging goal of obtaining true views of their customers and communicating with them in a human fashion.
“Many integrated marketing vendors are blurring vision and present capabilities of what their applications and services can do,” Arthur said. “So put all their hyperbole aside and remember: While all this digital snake oil may sound alluring, good marketing is not brought about by data and technology alone. Good marketing gets to know the customer who is behind all that data.”
Teradata Marketing Summit runs through Thursday at the JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles.
