What is it? SEO automation provider Rio SEO signs an agreement to use Infogroup's bulk update service for submitting optimized and enhanced local business listings. Infogroup provides points-of-interest data for navigation, local search engines, and location-based service applications.

WIIFM? The added service will save Rio SEO clients time spent manually navigating with their IT department, Excel, and naming conventions. The new software identifies the proper keywords and categories, and then automates the formatting of the data so users no longer have to manipulate spreadsheets. Users can contract with Infogroup directly for a fee or integrate the service into current Rio SEO packages.

Who's talking? “As the sheer volume of local content and information increases, so too does the need to accumulate, optimize, and submit that business listing data to engines and directories that support local search,” said Bill Connard, VP of local search solutions at Rio SEO.
