Publicis Worldwide today announced the appointment of Dylan Williams as its chief strategy and innovation officer. He'll report to CEO Arthur Sadoun and take charge of developing global strategy for the agency.

Williams is currently Chief Strategic Officer and a partner at Mother, an agency that won accounts from Becks, IKEA, and Acer during his eight years there. A firm believer in infusing technology into the creative process, he sits on London's Tech City advisory board and founded his soon-to-be former agency's start-up lab, Mother at The Trampery.

“I've been really struck by the vision for Publicis that Arthur and the team in London took me through, and the passion with which it was delivered,” said Williams in a press release. “Something good is growing and I immediately wanted to be part of it.”

Mother's New York was in headlines last week when it was dumped as Burger King's agency of record. As the creator of the chain's Satisfries campaign last year, Mother generated some 1.5 billion media impressions in 30 countries when it temporarily renamed and re-branded a number of outlets as “Fries King.”
