News Byte: NetBase Debuts Social Monitoring for the Entire Company
Pulse's dashboard displays social activity by state.
Going on the premise that real-time monitoring of social media chatter is every brand marketer's job, and not the lone mission a team of backroom surveillers, NetBase has released Brand LIVE Pulse, a dashboard intended to give all stakeholders instant visibility of the social movement of their brands.
“Companies are asking all their marketing people to include social as a part of their functions,” says NetBase CMO Pernille Bruun-Jensen. “What we've done is to give them immediate information about what is happening on social so they can react to it.”
The Pulse Dashboard gives just the basics, but with real-time updating. It shows mentions per minute, impressions over the last hour, and net sentiment—scoring on a -100 to +100 scale. Posts of influential networkers with wide reach run on the right border of the board, and emerging topics are listed beside a U.S. map with color coding denoting activity by state.
NetBase is also introducing an image Pulse to track picture-posting trends.
