News Byte: Marketo's Growing Digital Ecosystem

What is it? The renewed buzz around marketing automation is evident in the growth of Marketo's LaunchPoint. The “digital ecosystem”—a marketplace for apps that complement or integrate with and services around Marketo's marketing automation platform—has doubled in size since its launch eight months ago. More than 150 solutions partners are now a part of the ecosystem. Recent additions include Box, Get Satisfaction, and HootSuite.

WIIFM? LaunchPoint is designed to help Marketo customers create their own robust marketing ecosystem. The marketplace includes a diverse range of applications in such areas as analytics, content marketing, sales tools, social media, and video. Customers can also find service providers that specialize in working with Marketo in such areas as demand generation and social marketing.

Who's talking? “We know the power of the Marketo platform firsthand as a customer, and we wanted to integrate Get Satisfaction's community with Marketo for ourselves and for our customers,” Get Satisfaction CEO Wendy Lea said in a statement. “Marketers can now capture buyer activity from Get Satisfaction-powered communities in Marketo, and deliver more relevant campaigns as a result.”
