Lyris today announced that its SVP of engineering, John Philpin, would take over as CEO, effective immediately.  He replaces Roy Camplin, who has resigned.

Philpin was the founder and principal of Beyond Bridges, a global sales strategy and implementation services firm, and also was CEO of Group Partners. He brings substantial marketing experience to the top job at Lyris, having held the CMO spot at both Cramer and Vitria. He's credited with leading the design and development of Lyris's digital marketing platform.

"John has the proven experience in technology, sales, and marketing to realize the true potential of our platform,” said Ty Comfort on behalf of Lyris's board of directors. “He knows how to build strong, productive teams."

A British national and U.S. resident, Philpin holds a degree in mathematics from the University of East Anglia.
