Cloud-based digital marketing company IgnitionOne recently announced its acquisition of Knotice, a data management company.

This is IgnitionOne's first acquisition and it adds data management and multichannel digital messaging—such as email marketing automation—to the company's existing digital platform.

Knotice will bring its first-party data collection and consolidation capabilities, along with its email marketing CRM, to IgnitionOne. Knotice recently gained recognition as a strong performer in "The Forrester Wave: Data Management Platforms, Q3 2013."

“The acquisition of Knotice is consistent with our vision of bringing speed and simplicity to marketers through centralized data that automates the process of delivering the right message to the right user at the right moment at the most efficient cost,” IgnitionOne CEO Will Margiloff said in a statement.

The newly combined company boasts more than 420 employees in 17 international offices.
