New Name Radiates Web Site's Increasing Membership

Online software company Aureate Media has changed its name to Radiate because its original moniker was too hard to remember or spell, a company spokeswoman said yesterday. Krista Thomas, public relations manager, said the company had "a dog of name while the business was going like gangbusters, so it was time for a change."

Radiate, Mountain View, CA, distributes systems for more than 400 software companies. It self-reports 18 million registered viewers, while gaining 100,000 members each day.
