New-Mover Tracking Service Created

Data Partners, a strategic data provider in Fort Myers, FL, will introduce a service later this month that it says can alert direct marketers of a customer move in one to three days of the move and track the customer to his new address.

The service, Livewire Move Alert, uses data collected nightly from the U.S. Directory Assistance file for the United States, which includes data from the six regional bell operating companies and more than 1,700 local exchange carriers that indicate when people disconnect and reconnect their telephone service.

The data are scrubbed to eliminate people who have had their telephone service turned off for non-payment, so the file is a good indicator of people who have moved.

Pricing has not been set yet, but it would be on a per-record basis, and there would be a small charge for the monitoring service itself.
