Digitas CEO Laura Lang has been named CEO of publishing company Time Inc. Lang will replace Jack Griffin who was fired in February, six months after being named to the position. She will report directly to Time Warner Inc. CEO Jeff Bewkes.

Peter Drakoulias has been promoted to the newly-created position of global chief of staff at Draftfcb effective immediately, he told Direct Marketing News. He will report to Draftfcb president and CEO Laurence Boschetto and he will partner with George Kane, EVP and worldwide financial director, to oversee the agency's global M&A activity.

Draftfcb has named Rob Nielsen global executive creative director for the agency's Beiersdorf AG account. He will join Draftfcb on Oct. 10 and report directly to Jonathan Harries, the agency's vice chairman and global chief creative officer.

Cabela's Inc. named Scott Williams its EVP, chief marketing and e-commerce officer, the outdoors product retailer said in a statement. Williams will report to Cabela's CEO Tommy Millner.
The number of direct and digital marketers planning to add staff decreased for the third consecutive quarter, according to an employment report from recruitment firm Bernhart Associates Executive Search released Sept. 25.

SC Johnson & Son has reassigned its global advertising account after a decades-long relationship with Draftfcb. The Racine, Wis.-based company hired BBDO for advertising for its pest-control and home-storage divisions and Ogilvy & Mather for ad duties for its fragrance and home-cleaning units.

Infogroup has hired Christian Ward as SVP and head of data strategy, analytics and capabilities. The Omaha, Neb.-based company has also named Dana Hayman VP of marketing strategy and insights.

Direct marketing agency Adams Hussey & Associates has rebranded as Chapman, Cubine, Adams & Hussey (CCAH), to reflect changes in the company's leadership team.
Euro RSCG has reassigned former New York office co-CEO Pete Zillig to a position in Europe, the agency confirmed May 26. Jeff Brooks will serve as Euro RSCG New York's sole CEO, reporting to Lee Garfinkel and Matt Ryan, chairmen of Euro RSCG. The agency also said that it has eliminated some staff as part of the restructuring.
Office Depot has named Neil Austrian its permanent chairman and CEO, the company said May 25. He had served as the Boca Raton, Fla.-based office supply retailer's interim leader since November 1, 2010. Austrian will replace Steven Odland, who resigned last October after more than five years with the company.

ReachForce, a b-to-b data services company, has added Aprimo's former CMO to its executive team, and has hired leaders of product and partner development. Michael Emerson will join the Austin, Texas-based company as VP of marketing, effective immediately.
Hewlett-Packard Development Co. (HP) named Martin Homlish EVP and CMO on April 19. He will begin work at the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company on June 1, reporting directly to CEO Leo Apotheker. He will join HP after more than 10 years at German software company SAP, where he and Apotheker previously served as CMO and CEO, respectively.
Thomas Hogan has resigned as EVP of enterprise business sales and marketing at Hewlett-Packard Development Co. (HP), the technology services provider said April 18. He will continue to work at Palo Alto, Calif.-based HP until May 31.
John Rizzi has resigned as president and CEO of e-Dialog, said Chris Saridakis, CEO of the global marketing services division of parent company GSI Commerce. Joe Gagnon, chief client officer and EVP of product marketing at the company, will replace him, effective immediately.
Hyundai Motor America appointed Steve Shannon VP of marketing, effective April 18. He will be responsible for all marketing activities in the US and report to John Krafcik, president and CEO. Shannon will be Hyundai's third marketing chief in the past 13 months.
