New Firm Focuses on Trading Networks

Inovis launched yesterday with a focus on building private trading networks and business-to-business communities.


The company results from the acquisition of the supply chain enablement division of Peregrine, which consists of former Harbinger and Extricity businesses, by private equity firm Golden Gate Capital.


Inovis has more than 500 employees worldwide and will provide BTB solutions to more than 20,000 customers, including global trading community access to about 90 percent of the Fortune 500.


It will offer business process management, data transformation (EDI/XML) and network connectivity. It operates the global trading community, Get2Connect, which enables more than 1.4 million transactions each business day. Other products and services offered through Inovis include TrustedLink, Power.Enterprise, Power.Commerce, Alliance Manager and Web Commerce.
