New cover redefines Working Mother image

Working Mother magazine will unveil a new cover with its May issue. The redesign aims to reflect the changing attitude of career mothers within the United States.

Editors of the publication wanted to capture the enterprising spirit of women who are both loving mothers and successful professionals.

The Working Mother Media published title used reader surveys and research to produce the new cover. Readers voted that a cover depicting a mother with her children would more accurately reflect their identity.

Robert Black, who complemented reader input with a colorful design that provides a new take on Working Mother's logo and layout created the new design.

The title was launched in 1979 and has a circulation of nearly 3 million readers.

The May issue of Working Mother will be available on newsstands April 17.
