NetZero, Juno Become United Online

Internet service providers NetZero Inc. and Juno Online Services Inc. yesterday completed their merger to form a new public company, United Online Inc.


The companies combined claim 6.7 million active users in the United States and Canada, of which 1.1 million are billable subscribers.


The merger was finalized yesterday following the approval by both companies' stockholders at their respective stockholder meetings, according to a press release.


United Online will begin trading today on the Nasdaq National Market under the ticker symbol "UNTD."
