Netscape to Use LifeMinders for BTB Service
LifeMinders, Herndon, VA, yesterday said it has extended its strategic marketing relationship with Netscape Communications, Mountain View, CA, calling for Netscape to outsource LifeMinders' personalization platform for its new small-business service, Netscape Netbusiness.According to the two companies, by leveraging LifeMinders' personalization product, Outsourcing Personalization Technology, Netscape will gain an advanced database personalization infrastructure, allowing it to communicate with Netbusiness users who have registered for these services, through personalized, content-based e-mails.
"This technology will allow Netscape Netbusiness users to designate the information that is important to them, like news and information targeted to each user's industry and geographic location, while allowing Netscape to deliver that information personalized to the user, directly to his or her e-mail box," said Stephen Chapin, CEO of LifeMinders.
