Net.Genesis, BuyItNow Make Agreement

Net.Genesis Corp., Cambridge, MA, a knowledge management software manufacturer, this week announced that BuyItNow Inc., Tulsa, OK, an online collection of specialized stores with their own branded merchandise, will be using net.analysis by Net.Genesis on the Sun/Solaris platform.


BuyItNow president and chief operating officer Randy Jo Wilcox said that using the new software application will help the company to manage customer relationships by demonstrating how consumers use the site. By conforming content to the best customers and prospects, it aims to cut down marketing costs as well as increase sales.


BuyItNow spent six months testing the market for e-customer analysis solutions before opting to go with Net.Genesis' net.analysis. Net.Genesis was chosen because of its ability to handle BuyItNow's replication and load balancing requirements, the company said.
