Netgateway, MediaOne Launch New England Shopping Web Site

CableCommerce, a division of Netgateway Inc., Long Beach, CA, and MediaOne yesterday launched eShopNewEngland.com, an online shopping mall featuring New England merchants.


MediaOne, a broadband service company, will promote the Web site to its 1.2 million New England cable television customers with 30-second commercials on CNN Headline News, MTV and other cable networks.


CableCommerce will develop and manage each local shopping portal and will collaborate with MediaOne in selling online services to local business owners.


The companies currently are marketing the service to businesses in New England and plan to have a full roster of shops online in the fall.
