Neighborhood America Buys Movo Mobile

Enterprise social network developer Neighborhood America recently acquired Movo Mobile, adding mobile to its client service offerings.

The company works with media, government and businesses to build participatory community links through Internet devices, providing a technical backbone for data sharing.

"There's a whole next generation of needs and ways to connect with people," said Kim Patrick Kobza, president/CEO of Neighborhood America, Naples, FL. "Adding mobile to our system speaks to a growing trend of mobile use among a broad audience."

Movo co-founders Dan Miller, David Rippetoe and Robert Cesaric will join Neighborhood America's executive team as part of the acquisition. Mr. Miller will head the mobile solutions group. Mr. Rippetoe will lead business development and Mr. Cesaric will aid the technical development of product.

"The exciting part is that we can go back to every one of Neighborhood America's clients and deepen the relationship they have with their groups," said Mr. Miller, former president/CEO of Movo.

Clients will be able to access data across a number of mobile enhanced devices.

Neighborhood America began as a network provider to government agencies and therefore offers clients a secure place to store data. The security measures will be used for mobile extensions so that a company's infrastructure is not exposed to unnecessary parties.

"What is unique and different about our offerings is that we're allowing clients to do a public outreach campaign that integrates and organizes data from any and all client-customer interactions across computer Internet and now mobile," Mr. Kobza said.
