NearbyNow launches iPhone shopping platform

NearbyNow has launched an iPhone platform offering consumers the ability to find a featured product at a nearby store and put the item on hold. Runners World and Seventeen are the first two titles to launch iPhone applications using the platform.

The Runner's World Shoe Shop iPhone application went live on August 1. It includes a variety of shoe guides and how-to videos. It also showcases a Nike product and gives users the ability to find and reserve items at local stores or to purchase them online.

The Seventeen Fashion Finder iPhone application features a back-to-school shopping guide and enables users to find and purchase items at local retailers.

The NearbyNow iPhone platform includes features such as content management, a one-click product reservation service, analytics for online and offline sales and a variety of advertising and viral marketing solutions.
