National Geographic, Eddie Bauer Team on Travel, Film Ventures

National Geographic Society, Washington, said yesterday it entered a multimedia, multimillion-dollar alliance with Eddie Bauer Inc. The agreement includes corporate sponsorship of a new film on the Lewis and Clark expedition, a multi-tiered travel alliance and Eddie Bauer sponsorship of "Radio Expeditions," a National Geographic and National Public Radio co-production.


The travel agreement includes Eddie Bauer's sponsorship of a line of National Geographic Trip planner CD-ROMs and nationalgeographic.com's new Trip Planner Online travel feature. This week the Eddie Bauer launched a travel promotion with National Geographic expeditions as prizes. Promoting the line of Trip Planner CD-ROMs, Eddie Bauer is including a copy of Trip Planner Deluxe in specially priced rolling daypacks available during the promotion.
