*Nat Sherman Uses Cuban Cigars to Promote Web Site Launch

NEW YORK -- The Nat Sherman cigar company and E*Trade will use 40-year-old pre-Castro Cuban cigars to lure visitors to their sites as part of a co-marketing agreement announced here at Internet World 2000.

Web development firm Redscope, which is redesigning Nat Sherman's site, reported the agreement Thursday.

Investors will be given $100,000 in play money to invest on E*Trade, Redscope spokeswoman Christine M. Luzano said. Nat Sherman will link to E*Trade while the promotion is running. The wisest investor will win the cigars. The winner will be announced on tax day on April 15.

Nat Sherman will reach out to customers with e-mail and direct mail to raise awareness about the promotion, which begins in December after Redscope completes the design of Nat Sherman's Web site, at www.natsherman.com.

Redscope came up with the idea as a way for Nat Sherman to drive traffic when the site launches.
