Napster Announces New Alliances

Napster Inc., Redwood City, CA, said Friday it has formed several alliances with artists and record labels to help promote artists.

Among the new alliances is Napster's multi-artist relationship with Kramden Enterprises. Kramden will be releasing rock band Primitive Radio Gods' upcoming album "White Hot Peach" digitally. Part of the promotion included this month's placement of the album's first single, "Fading Out" in Napster's Featured Music Program, which resulted in 5,000 hits to the band's Web site within the first 24 hours it was on the site.

Napster said it has a similar arrangement with record label Discipline Global Mobile and its band the Rosenbergs.
