MyPoints Expands Wireless Initiative

MyPoints.com Inc. will offer cell phones and service plans to its customer loyalty members, the company said yesterday.

While the firm has done wireless marketing in the past, it has not offered cell phones or service plans. The MyPoints Wireless Store will feature four cellular phones from companies such as Nokia and Ericsson and 14 service plans from firms such as AT&T. Some of the offers will include a free phone, rebates and points awarded.

"As the world gets increasingly mobile, we are responding not only to our members' demand for wireless solutions, but also giving them an opportunity to be rewarded for purchasing these goods," said John Fullmer, CEO of MyPoints, San Francisco.
