United Media and Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates announced a partnership yesterday with FanBuzz, an e-commerce solutions provider in Minneapolis, to develop and operate a new online store for Peanuts and a new catalog of Peanuts products.

FanBuzz is a wholly owned subsidiary of ValueVision Media, which owns and operates ShopNBC and ShopNBC.com. Peanuts is licensed and syndicated by United Media, a worldwide licensing and syndication company.

The new Peanuts online store, which is accessible at www.snoopystore.com, and catalog, will launch in early 2004. Both will let consumers buy officially licensed Peanuts merchandise. Existing product from the property's roster of licensees will be included as well as online and catalog exclusives developed by FanBuzz. Additionally, FanBuzz will secure Peanuts products that previously were available only in foreign markets.

FanBuzz plans a direct marketing campaign using direct mail and e-mail to promote the catalog and the Web site. The campaign will target more than 1 million people.
