TravelSmith Plans Catalog for Women Older Than 40
The catalog will target what TravelSmith called an underserved portion of the fashion apparel market, women ages 40-55, with unique clothing that is flattering to wear and allows the customer to express herself in a distinctive way.
The 48-page catalog will be available in late March and was photographed in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It will feature mix-and-match basic tees, camis, bottoms and layering pieces as well as accessories such as jewelry, belts and sandals. The clothing will be organized thematically by color, which for spring 2006 will include sea blues, earth tones and tropical hues.
"By arranging the catalog according to color themes, we allow our customer to zero in on what works for her and easily build a wardrobe of artistic pieces around key items," Betty Fields Segars, TravelSmith director of product development, said in a statement.
The line also will be available online at ioscatalog.com.
