Tommy Hilfiger outsources e-commerce fulfillment

Apparel retailer Tommy Hilfiger Retail LLC has tapped Fulfillment Technologies LLC to handle e-commerce fulfillment execution of sales generated at www.shoptommy.com.

Fulfillment Technology will handle Tommy Hilfiger Retail's e-commerce supply chain, including order fulfillment and customer care. Tommy Hilfiger Retail, a wholly owned arm of Tommy Hilfiger Corp., will retain marketing and merchandising control.

"They had been with another vendor who'd gone dark, so it was a fast implementation and then it moved into the high SKU distribution center setup," said Tom Hartman, vice president of business development at Fulfillment Technologies.

"The only other thing that was unique to this was we first took on the 800 toll-free Ask Tommy line prior to fulfillment implementation," he said.

Based in Cincinnati, Fulfillment Technologies offers integrated fulfillment, call center and sourcing services for catalogers, online retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers. Avon Products Inc. is also a client.

Tommy Hilfiger Corp. owns its eponymous brand as well as Karl Lagerfeld. Via licensing agreements, the company offers apparel, accessories, footwear, fragrance and home furnishing items to key department and specialty stores as well as its own shops worldwide.
