Target.com Begins Father's Day Promos

Target Corp. is offering Internet-exclusive special gift packages as part of its Father's Day promotions.


The retailer's online destination, www.target.com, is offering gift baskets ranging in price from $19.99 to $34.99. The packages include Dad's Toolbox, targeted at the handyman; Fishing Tag-a-Long for fishermen; and Grilling or Pasta Box for the chef.


Target, Minneapolis, also is targeting Father's Day shoppers at its Dads & Grads channel, where viewers can pick up Alaska smoked salmon for $8.99, as well as a DVD/VCR combo player for $349.99.


As a whole, Target.com visitors have access to around 15,000 items, an offering largely focused on a mass audience.
