Restoration Hardware's Outdoor Catalog Drives 1Q Direct Sales

Restoration Hardware Inc. reported a 29 percent increase in direct-to-consumer first-quarter revenue thanks in part to the positive response to the March launch of the Restoration Hardware outdoor catalog. Direct-to-consumer revenue totaled $42.3 million for the quarter ended April 29.

The Corte Madera, CA-based multichannel merchant's net revenue during the same period increased 14 percent to $133.4 million while same-store sales rose 4 percent.

The net loss for the quarter totaled $4.9 million compared to a net loss of $3.1 million during the same period last year. Net loss per share in the first quarter was $0.13 versus $0.09 per share last year.
