Printing house Quad/Graphics announced a new contract last week to perform all of cataloger Coldwater Creek's printing, binding and distribution work through 2006.

The contract also calls for Quad/Graphics, Sussex, WI, to provide all prep work for Coldwater Creek catalogs through 2007 and to open an imaging facility at Coldwater Creek headquarters in Sandpoint, ID. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Quad/Graphics will provide 100 million catalogs yearly for Coldwater Creek, including the titles Northcountry, Spirit and Gifts to Go, along with seasonal clearance books. The onsite facility at Coldwater Creek headquarters will be staffed full-time and feature soft-proofing and advanced color manipulation technology to enable immediate feedback from the client and reduce cycle time.

Quad/Graphics began printing a small amount of custom web work and clearance books for Coldwater Creek in 2000. Coldwater Creek awarded all printing work for its catalogs and prepress work on two of its titles to Quad/Graphics in 2002.
