PowerReviews to host reviews for six e-commerce platforms

E-commerce user-generated review services firm PowerReviews has signed agreements with e-commerce platform firms ATG, Demandware, Elastic Path, Fry, GSI Commerce and Truition.

Retail clients of these e-commerce firms will have the ability to incorporate PowerReviews' platform into their Web sites.

"These e-commerce firms are now able to provide their clients, the retailers, with the best possible reviews solution without the effort of developing and maintaining it themselves, so they can focus on their core competencies," said Andy Chen, CEO of PowerReviews, Millbrae, CA. " For retailers, it drastically reduces the implementation time. They just need to decide if they want this feature and how they want it to look without dealing with the technical aspects."

The e-commerce partners will take care of the core integration to make it easier for retailers. All integrations will be completed and available to clients by the second quarter of 2007.

"Users have stated loudly and clearly that they most trust other users when it comes to making a purchase decision and most retailers have listened," Mr. Chen said. "2007 will be the year in which reviews become an essential part of the online shopping experience and widely available on most major retailer sites."
