Online home improvement retailer Home Decor Products Inc. announced yesterday the launch of Knobsandthings.com, a site offering decorative hardware for the home.

The new e-commerce venture is Edison, NJ-based Home Decor Products' fourth Web site focusing on items for the home. The others are HomeClick.com, AbsoluteHome.com and Barbecues.com.

Knobsandthings.com is an authorized dealer of many styles of decorative hardware, including vintage and stainless steel. Price points range from budget to luxury.

"We chose this product category because homeowners are increasingly realizing that decorative hardware products increase the value of their homes with the least amount of investment, whether part of upgrading an existing room or undertaking major renovation," Home Decor Products president Michael Golden said in a statement.

The company aims to make Knobsandthings the largest online retail site for decorative hardware, he said.

Knobsandthings.com has a product-sampling policy that permits customers to test up to three items at home and return the unwanted ones for credit.
